About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the software development team in Germany
- Create and adjust PC software modules and apps for programming and parameterization of electronic devices
- Support software changes and data maintenance for product design
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to complete software projects on time, budget, quality, and safety requirements
- Contribute to projects involving design, development, rebuilding, software improvements, and documentation for new and existing software products
- Review software designs for compliance with engineering principles and related specifications
- Support the product documentation team
- Design and detail software parts and modules
- Enable new products to be managed through the Configure to Order process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Engineering Informatics)
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
- Bilingual – English and German (Basic/Intermediate)
- 10%+ travel availability
- Valid passport and EU Visa
- Deep understanding of computer programming and network security
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI
- Experience working with front-end dashboards and back-end systems (database, app)
- Experience with custom firmware
- Proficiency in embedded C, embedded C++, JavaScript, Python, and XAML/C
- Knowledge of software architecture, quality, design patterns, testing, and clean architecture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of device and data security
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English (Advanced) and German (Basic/Intermediate)
