About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive single and double trailer combinations
- Safely transport fuel from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay
- Maneuver through narrow passageways and weather extremes
- Oversee loading and unloading processes
- Handle trip paperwork
- Ensure the safety of every trip
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience
- Experience as a line haul driver, or equivalent experience operating on ice roads, mountain terrain, and in severe and rapidly changing weather conditions
- Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tankers endorsements
- Alaskan license preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication
- Ability to handle extreme weather conditions
- Clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Own steel-toe boots
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
