Key responsibilities & impact- Design and optimize scalable cloud-native solutions on GCP
- Improve performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency of cloud platforms
- Design and support data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytical workloads
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root-cause analysis
- Define cloud architecture standards and engineering best practices
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and architects to deliver robust solutions
- Support advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases
- Drive continuous improvement of the cloud ecosystem and ensure operational excellence across applications, infrastructure, and data platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery
- Strong Python development skills
- Excellent SQL knowledge
- Experience with cloud architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with cloud optimization, scalability, and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data processing frameworks
- Experience with Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Nice to have: Dataproc, Dataflow, dbt
