About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work directly with the founders on product and technical direction
Build and maintain the Django backend powering the consumer dashboard and B2B platform
Develop features for APIs supporting the consumer dashboard and customer reporting
Improve performance and reliability in Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines
Integrate third-party services including payment providers and identity providers such as Stripe and WorkOS SSO
Own features from start to finish, including production follow-through after launch
Give and receive code reviews on a small backend team
Begin working on real projects in the first week

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years building production web applications
3+ years with Python and Django
Production experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis
Working knowledge of data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design
Strong written communication
Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones
Self-direction and follow-through
DRF and/or django-ninja is a strong plus
Postgres tuning and query analysis is a strong plus
Kubernetes and AWS is a strong plus
Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations is a strong plus
HTMX, React, or both is a strong plus
Background in consumer privacy or adjacent industries is a strong plus
Experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code is a strong plus
