About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead quantitative and qualitative analyses supporting day-to-day operations of Commercial Power Business teams
- Establish governance processes and tracking mechanisms for project timelines
- Produce memos, talking points, slide decks, Excel models, and customer briefing materials
- Prepare tailored briefing materials and participate in stakeholder meetings
- Help manage early-stage customer onboarding and project development activities
- Translate complex technical information into business implications, risks, decision points, and recommended actions
- Monitor, analyze, and synthesize regulatory developments, utility tariffs, interconnection processes, and clean energy policies
- Conduct market intelligence, competitive assessments, and benchmarking
- Support testimony and energy policy documents through research, expert networking, briefing papers, and analytical support
- Collaborate with fusion economics, engineering, marketing and communications, government affairs, and legal teams
- Design and optimize scalable business development workflows using technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions
- Develop and refine executive presentations, proposals, and decision-support materials
- Manage permitting, siting, regulatory engagements, and application processes for commercial fusion power plant development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5 years of pre- or post-MBA professional experience in energy markets, business development, financial analysis, consulting, or project finance
- Exceptional project management skills and written/verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and engage with individuals at all organizational levels
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong capabilities in regulatory research, data synthesis, and operational reporting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint (executive presentations)
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call; up to 10% travel
- Ability to perform typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods
- Ability to work in a facility containing industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
