About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor the condition of community buildings, carry out initial assessments, and identify maintenance, repair, or improvement needs
- Implement a preventive maintenance policy for buildings
- Manage maintenance, refurbishment, and fit-out works, from drafting specifications through to verifying proper completion, while ensuring compliance with deadlines and budgets
- Manage maintenance contracts, particularly those relating to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, elevators, alarms, and regulatory inspections
- Monitor the quality of services delivered by contractors and service providers
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to public-access buildings and participate in safety committee inspections
- Administer and operate the ticketing system: create, track, and close service requests, prioritize actions, support users, and ensure data quality
- Produce activity monitoring dashboards
- Contribute to the development and management of the department budget
- Contribute to preparing public procurement contracts related to maintenance and upkeep
- Monitor energy consumption and propose optimization measures to support the energy transition of the community's property portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- Higher education or vocational training in building construction and/or a successful track record in a similar role
- Broad multidisciplinary technical knowledge
- Strong knowledge of regulations applicable to public-access buildings
- Knowledge of public procurement procedures
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills, responsiveness, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to adapt to new software applications
- Category B driving license
