About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise the six waste facility operatives and prepare their work schedules
- Manage the operation of the waste facilities and green waste platform
- Monitor camera traps and address anti-social behaviour and improper conduct
- Complete and approve HR forms relating to leave, overtime, time off in lieu, training and accidents
- Assign duties to teams and monitor their completion
- Ensure the provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Monitor the safe use of equipment
- Plan and monitor services provided by companies working on the sites
- Monitor and address user complaints
- Oversee the operation, maintenance and upkeep of equipment
- Procure the equipment required for the operation and development of the waste facilities
- Participate in occupational risk prevention and ensure appropriate working conditions
- Monitor site cleanliness and initiate the necessary actions
- Maintain regulatory compliance with ICPE requirements at the waste facilities and green waste platform
- Develop new waste-sorting streams
- Ensure the application and updating of the waste facility regulations
- Monitor activity and performance indicators and dashboards
- Manage the access-control system and analyse waste facility usage
- Prepare specifications and monitor procurement processes
- Prepare and monitor the allocated budget
- Manage orders, oversee their fulfilment and approve invoices
- Monitor service contracts
- Provide written input for correspondence with residents, companies and landlords
- Contribute to communication initiatives on waste sorting and prevention
- Monitor the action plan to combat illegal dumping
Requirements
What you’ll need- Full driving licence (Category B) essential
- Knowledge of waste management
- Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of the local government environment
- Strong written communication skills

- Category C or B position, technical stream
