About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise Housing Coordinators responsible for researching, monitoring, and interpreting HUD rules and regulations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations, including Fair Housing, HUD, and CEDP policies
- Manage all aspects of CEDP housing subsidy programs and ensure housing resources are used to full capacity
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on HUD regulations and program policies
- Conduct file and program audits; identify noncompliance and implement corrective action plans
- Develop and maintain training, manuals, guru cards, and other materials for Housing Coordinators
- Ensure housing programs prevent discrimination and use harm reduction, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and other best-practice models
- Support housing orientations, Housing Quality Standards inspections, lease-ups, tenant conferences, annual and interim recertifications, and repayment agreement calculations
- Maintain a caseload of 100–150 households
- Identify and collaboratively resolve escalated conflicts involving landlords, program participants, and case managers
- Collaborate with case managers, CEDP staff, and outside agencies to ensure housing stability
- Maintain competency in housing databases and perform data entry across HMIS, HubSpot, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Elite, ShareFile, and other systems
- Participate in process, systems, and technology improvements
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, cooperative, and team-oriented work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least one year of experience in a supervisory/management role of a housing program
- Must be certified as an HCV Specialist
- Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret complex federal rules and regulations and understand their impact on agency policies and procedures
- Thorough and attentive to detail; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and detail-oriented
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Superb customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and assertive communication skills demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence
- Knowledge of homeless issues and sensitivity to and desire to work with underserved populations
- Baseline knowledge of how trauma, structural racism, and oppression have impacted homeless community members interfacing with CEDP
- Reliable transportation required
- Must reside in Colorado, ideally within the greater Denver Metro area
- Current vaccination status consistent with CDC recommendations because in-person work is sometimes required
