About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach and develop Store Managers
- Build leadership capability and a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement
- Own regional KPIs including sales, productivity, payroll, waste and audit performance
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial results
- Ensure stores operate safely, legally and consistently with Company Shop Group standards, policies and procedures
- Drive an excellent member experience using feedback and local insight
- Translate Retail strategy into regional plans
- Challenge existing ways of working and embed business change
- Collaborate with central functions and key stakeholders
- Lead succession planning, talent development and workforce planning
- Cover and support stores across Grimsby, Wentworth, Bradford, Luton, Long Eaton, Tamworth, Manor and Leicester
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in a regional, area or senior multi-site retail leadership role
- Strong commercial understanding and experience delivering against KPIs and business targets
- Track record of leading, coaching and developing Store Managers and leadership teams
- Ability to hold people accountable while providing support and challenge
- Strong operational, compliance and health and safety awareness
- Experience leading change, driving continuous improvement and embedding consistent standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence to make decisions, identify risks and take action when performance or standards fall below expectations
- Experience managing large teams and motivating and engaging colleagues
- Ability to think strategically
- Innovative and analytical, with ability to use logic and imagination to develop solutions
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Committed, forward-thinking and proactive, with ability to drive and deliver
- Energetic and flexible, with willingness to travel including possible overnight stays
