About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze access, conversion, census, capacity, utilization, length of stay, patient engagement, clinical outcomes, and program performance
  • Develop understanding of behavioral health care delivery across intake, treatment planning, therapy, psychiatry, documentation, authorization, outcomes, and discharge
  • Partner with clinical, operational, executive, research, and technology leaders to define questions, measures, analytical approaches, and data requirements
  • Identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities to improve care delivery, patient experience, and program performance
  • Translate complex findings into insights, recommendations, actions, presentations, publications, tables, visualizations, and summaries
  • Build accurate, documented, reproducible datasets and analyses for outcomes research and program evaluation
  • Conduct and interpret analyses evaluating patient outcomes, treatment effectiveness, program effectiveness, and population or care-level differences
  • Maintain metric definitions, documentation, analytical standards, and best practices
  • Partner with analysts and Data Engineering on consistent definitions, reliable data, and scalable solutions
  • Standardize recurring analytical needs into dashboards, reports, and repeatable workflows
  • Apply AI-enabled analytical methods and develop AI-assisted workflows, prompts, standards, and validation practices
  • Validate AI-generated findings for accuracy, relevance, bias, and clinical or business context
  • Ensure human judgment and clinical oversight for final analytical conclusions
  • Mentor other analysts and improve analytical methods, tools, and workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical work
  • Clinical-background candidates must have demonstrated experience using data to evaluate care delivery, patient outcomes, program performance, or complex healthcare questions
  • Experience working with healthcare clinical operations and translating clinical workflows and business questions into meaningful analysis
  • Experience analyzing healthcare performance, including access, utilization, quality, outcomes, or program effectiveness
  • Experience with modern analytics and BI platforms such as Power BI
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to independently investigate complex clinical and operational questions
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for clinical, operational, and executive audiences
  • Experience using AI or generative AI to support analytical work and validate outputs
  • Strong communication, prioritization, facilitation, and stakeholder partnership skills
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy, security, compliance, and appropriate handling of PHI
  • Preferred: experience in behavioral health, IOP, PHP, outpatient mental health, substance use treatment, or similar clinical environments
  • Preferred: familiarity with behavioral health workflows
  • Preferred: experience with clinical outcomes, program evaluation, or research-related analytics
  • Preferred: experience with EMR/EHR and other healthcare operational systems
  • Preferred: experience incorporating AI-assisted methods and/or modern cloud data and analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric
