About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide trauma-informed and person-centered crisis intervention via phone
- Assess caller needs, screen for safety, and connect to appropriate services or resources
- Collaborate with internal and external providers to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency standards
- Participate in supervision and team meetings to support continuous improvement
- Provide immediate, person-centered support to individuals reaching out through the Disaster Line
- Identify needs, offer compassionate crisis intervention, and connect callers to services and resources
- Support individuals in rural communities and ensure access to care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or completion of 60 college credit hours required
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field preferred
- At least one (1) year of experience in behavioral health or human services if Associate degree is the highest degree obtained
- Working knowledge of DSM-V required
- Ability to excel at active listening and communicate with empathy and professionalism
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a supportive team
- Commitment to connection and recovery for every individual served
