About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement creative, evidence-based outreach and suicide prevention activities for youth and families
- Build collaborative partnerships with schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, public health systems, and other youth-serving organizations
- Provide education, training, resources, and connections to behavioral health and supportive services
- Partner with the Missouri Department of Education and school districts on suicide prevention education, intervention, and referral activities
- Develop a sustainable youth suicide prevention and training program replicable by other organizations
- Deliver training and educational presentations on youth suicide prevention and overdose prevention
- Support youth focus groups and community feedback efforts
- Maintain training records, post-training evaluations, program data, and grant reporting information
- Provide program statistics to the Project Evaluator and support GLS grant requirements
- Protect confidential information and ensure HIPAA and applicable security compliance
- Provide support and resources to families using Suicide Prevention Resource Center guidance
- Work across office, community, client, and field-based settings and travel throughout Missouri as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience working with youth in a social service setting preferred
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
- Prior presentation and training experience is preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Cultural humility
- Commitment to supporting youth wellness and resilience
- Comfortable working with youth, families, schools, and community partners
- Comfortable traveling throughout the state to provide educational presentations
- Ability to work across office, community, client, and field-based settings
- Ability to protect confidential information and comply with HIPAA and applicable security requirements
