About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage servers, including deployment, security posture management, and verification of core services
  • Manage accounts, groups, permissions, and basic configuration
  • Manage GPOs using NetIQ Group Policy Administrator (GPA) and native tools

  • Manage DNS records
  • Configure and manage DHCP servers

  • Use the Remedy ticketing system
  • Manage servers in VMware virtual environments
  • Troubleshoot core services, including replication and domain trusts
  • Create and deploy PowerShell scripts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Basic understanding of client/server, networking, and internet fundamentals
  • Basic understanding of Windows Server 2012 or higher
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory administration
  • Understanding of GPOs, account management, domains and trusts, DNS, DHCP, and server management
  • Understanding of PowerShell scripting
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Experience with hybrid environments containing on-premises and cloud servers
  • Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Windows Server deployment
  • Troubleshooting background with ability to assist with complex problems
  • Group Policy administration experience
  • Understanding of network security compliance and patching
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies
  • Azure cloud environment experience
  • 1–4 years of direct experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or higher deployment, domain controller deployment/configuration/management, Active Directory account management in on-premises and Azure cloud environments, and Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
  • Required Security+ or other qualifying IAT II certification
  • Required Microsoft AZ-900 certification
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday between 0700–1700
  • Ability to become compliant with changed certification requirements within 120 days
