About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support to federal client systems
- Perform daily sustainment for a Web/Oracle system architecture in AWS
- Maintain databases and configuration on database servers, Cloud One, or other approved hosting environments
- Maintain system configuration when third-party software is used
- Update and track TCNOs and applicable NOTAMs related to database support
- Coordinate firewall access for mainframe/server accessibility
- Coordinate release schedules with the PMO and interfacing partners
- Install new maintenance releases of client applications
- Resolve system anomalies
- Develop database strategies, system monitoring, and performance and capacity improvements
- Plan for future database requirements
- Comply with DISA STIGs
- Prepare software release packages for COTS migrations
- Modify database structures based on approved software changes
- Maintain, update, and ensure schemas, processes, and subprocesses required for Propulsion Actuarial Client Server reports are available and usable
- Facilitate backups, verify restored data accuracy and completeness, and assist with backup restoration
- Prepare databases for CV&I, QT&E, performance, user-acceptance, and regression testing
- Support audit compliance reviews through data calls and PBC responses
- Develop Infrastructure as Code scripts for database-related solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizen with active Secret Clearance
- BA/BS preferable; can be replaced by additional experience
- 3 years of DBA experience (Oracle) and infrastructure software development
- 1+ years database management in an AWS Cloud environment (RDS)
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience with Oracle database replication
- Security+ CE or CCNA Security certification required
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of AWS and/or OCI related technologies and utilities
- Oracle Certified Professional for 11g or above preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- AGILE environment experience
- DevSecOps experience
- AWS Cloud One or AWS Gov Cloud experience preferred
