About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and management across all aspects of the DoW force management capability
  • Ensure the program meets cost, schedule, and performance objectives while aligning with Air Force operational priorities
  • Provide day-to-day project oversight, including schedule management, resource allocation, budget tracking, and coordination of monthly software releases
  • Serve as primary liaison among the customer, stakeholders, end users, and corporate leadership
  • Deliver clear, concise, and timely status updates to senior client and corporate leadership
  • Lead risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning
  • Oversee requirements intake, refinement, prioritization, and alignment with warfighter needs
  • Manage development, testing, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams
  • Ensure compliance with DoW and PEO BES policies, cybersecurity requirements, RMF processes, configuration management, and documentation standards
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and project deliverables
  • Facilitate Agile activities including sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, and retrospectives
  • Lead project reviews, technical exchanges, and stakeholder meetings
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, modernization strategies, and release planning documentation
  • Prepare and manage contract deliverables, reports, and government submissions
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, cost estimates, burn rate tracking, and resource planning
  • Maintain and communicate project performance metrics and dashboards
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports
  • Approve employee and subcontractor timesheets
  • Manage procurement and renewal of required licenses
  • Coordinate and authorize conference travel
  • Review and approve expense reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, information systems, computer science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in project management supporting DoW or federal IT programs
  • PMP Certification
  • DoW security clearance SECRET or higher-level clearance
  • CSM or SAFe certifications preferred
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile development teams
  • Proximity to Montgomery, Alabama and ability to be on-site as required preferred
