Key responsibilities & impact

Architect and lead development of scalable, fault-tolerant systems for fax and healthcare document exchange
Design hybrid deployment strategies spanning on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud services
Define and enforce secure, compliant software development practices in healthcare environments, including HIPAA and HITRUST
Lead integrations with third-party fax platforms, EHR systems, and healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR
Guide implementation of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams to align technical solutions with business goals
Provide technical mentorship and leadership to engineers across multiple teams
Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and observability
Lead architecture, development, and deployment of mission-critical systems supporting fax and healthcare document exchange
Modernize legacy communication workflows and ensure secure, scalable, compliant data exchange across healthcare organizations
Drive technical direction across private data centers and Microsoft Azure public cloud environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of professional software engineering experience
3+ years in a technical leadership or staff-level role
Deep expertise in hybrid cloud architectures, including Azure and private data center deployments
Strong programming skills in C#, Python, or Java
Extensive experience with document processing, fax protocols, and healthcare data formats such as PDF, TIFF, HL7, and FHIR
Proven track record of delivering secure, compliant, and scalable systems in regulated industries
Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Bicep and Terraform
Experience with Azure services such as Logic Apps, App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage
Familiarity with healthcare interoperability platforms and standards
Background in modernizing legacy systems and leading cloud migration efforts
Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
