About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain EDI mappings using Edifecs SpecBuilder and MapBuilder
- Work on healthcare EDI transactions including 837 (P/I/D), 835, 270/271, 276/277, 277CA, 834, 820, and PACDR
- Develop and manage Guidelines, Profiles, and Protocols
- Configure and support Edifecs EAM / XEngine for batch and real-time processing
- Perform EDI validation, error handling, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with business analysts and healthcare SMEs to understand requirements
- Support production issues, root cause analysis, and defect fixes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, X12 5010, and other regulatory standards
- Participate in testing, deployment, and post-production support activities
- Document technical designs and operational procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Edifecs tools
- Strong knowledge of healthcare EDI standards (X12, HIPAA)
- Experience with SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, XEngine
- Hands-on experience in EDI validations and acknowledgments (999, 277CA)
- Experience with batch processing and real-time EDI flows
- Good understanding of healthcare domain concepts (claims, eligibility, payments)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with Edifecs EAM and Encounter Management
- Exposure to cloud deployments (AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of SQL and database tracking
- Experience with production support and on-call rotations
- Understanding of payer/provider workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills
