Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop Java-based applications and microservices
Build scalable solutions for high-performance transaction systems
Develop and support event-driven applications and integrations using Apache Kafka
Participate in Agile planning, estimations, and design sessions
Partner with product and project teams to provide technical estimates and updates
Troubleshoot complex production and system issues
Drive development tasks independently with minimal supervision
Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones
Report critical issues clearly and proactively
Support system architecture and hands-on development
Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior developers
Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of software development experience
Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, JDBC, Spring, and Spring Boot
Experience building web services using SOAP/REST and microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures
Experience with Struts, Spring MVC, and ESB technologies such as Camel/Fuse
Knowledge of OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID authentication protocols
Front-end development experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frameworks
Experience with Git, SVN, Maven, Bamboo, and Jenkins
Ability to write optimized Oracle SQL queries
Knowledge of system design, architecture, and security best practices
Ability to solve complex technical problems and learn new technologies quickly
Ability to work with distributed teams and manage priorities independently
At least 3+ years of U.S.-based experience
10+ years of overall industry experience
Preferred: Azure configurations, AWS, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Airflow or similar data processing tools, and healthcare/Medicaid/claims/pharmacy benefits/insurance platforms
