About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide database administration support for business-critical applications in production and non-production environments
  • Ensure Oracle database availability and performance
  • Administer Oracle databases across RHEL, Windows, and other operating systems
  • Install and configure Oracle Server 19c/23i RAC on multi-node systems
  • Configure and maintain Oracle Cloud Control
  • Upgrade Oracle databases
  • Create and manage reliable backup strategies and ensure backups are executed
  • Proactively manage database security standards and controls
  • Apply Oracle security patches and bug fixes in production and non-production environments
  • Administer Oracle GoldenGate, including extract creation, replication, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Implement security measures including SSL and encryption
  • Develop and support database maintenance scripts
  • Develop and maintain database design and support documentation
  • Configure Active Data Guard and automatic failover using Data Guard Broker
  • Configure container and pluggable databases
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams across on-premises and cloud environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • More than 7 years of Oracle Database Administration experience
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Control 13c or later
  • Linux operating system experience
  • 3 years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate
  • 3 years of experience administering Oracle RAC
  • Experience with Oracle management tools including Data Guard, Active Data Guard, RMAN, and Data Loader
  • Experience administering databases on Exadata and Azure
  • Oracle Partitioning knowledge
  • Strong Unix scripting skills
  • Experience with Oracle databases on RHEL and Windows
  • Experience installing and configuring Oracle Server 19c/23i RAC on multi-node systems
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Oracle Cloud Control
  • Experience with Oracle database upgrades, backup strategies, security standards, SSL, and encryption
  • Experience developing database maintenance scripts and documentation
  • Experience configuring Active Data Guard and automatic failover using Data Guard Broker
  • Experience configuring container and pluggable databases
  • Preferred: PostgreSQL database administration experience
  • Preferred: MongoDB administration experience
  • Oracle Certified Professional preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter able to work in a team and take individual responsibility
  • Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support
  • Must be based in the United States
