About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a mid-level data professional with an analytical and consultative mindset
Translate user needs into data solutions to support decision-making and improve processes
Apply IAM standards, access controls, sensitive data protection, and traceability practices
Perform queries, database joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and the creation of tables and views
Develop ETL/ELT processes and SQL transformations using Dataform
Apply partitioning, clustering, and best practices to optimize queries
Design analytical, fact, and dimension tables, defining granularity, relationships, and business rules
Work with projects, datasets, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and bronze, silver, and gold layers
Develop dashboards in Looker, Looker Studio, or Power BI connected to BigQuery
Clean, explore, and validate data, automating analyses and routine tasks
Identify and address duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies by creating validations and reconciliations
Document business rules, data dictionaries, and acceptance criteria
Interpret trends, deviations, and correlations; validate hypotheses; and present data-driven conclusions
Work closely with business areas and collaborate with Copersucar teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related data fields
Experience working in a GCP environment
Experience with BigQuery SQL
Knowledge of data architecture on GCP
Python applied to data analysis
Familiarity with IAM, role-based access, sensitive data protection, and traceability
Proficiency in queries, database joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and the creation of tables and views
Experience with ETL/ELT processes and SQL transformations
Knowledge of Dataform
Knowledge of partitioning, clustering, and query optimization best practices
Ability to design analytical, fact, and dimension tables
Understanding of projects, datasets, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage
Knowledge of Looker, Looker Studio, or Power BI connected to BigQuery
Knowledge of data cleansing, exploration, and validation techniques
Knowledge of Git for version control of queries and transformations
