About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze the creditworthiness of new and existing SBA loans, including SBA eligibility
- Identify policy exceptions and other credit issues to protect the asset quality of the Bank’s commercial loans
- Support preparation of credit analyses for loan requests, including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis, risk rating recommendations, trend analysis, and identification of credit strengths and weaknesses
- Prepare written recommendations on loan approval or alternate loan structures
- Prepare financial statement spreadsheets measuring financial ratio trends
- Assist Loan Officers with annual loan reviews
- Attend Loan Committee
- Support preparation and evaluation of credit proposals
- Provide excellent service and support the Bank’s “People First” focus
Requirements
What you’ll need- Financial analysis, cash flow lending, accounting principles and credit concepts
- Interpretation and application of SBA Standard Operating Procedure
- Windows Office applications, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations
- Good understanding of basic loan documentation and general banking principles
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent PC skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work well independently and with others
- Time management, organization, and communication (written and oral)
- Three to Five years of commercial lending experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Formal Bank Credit Training is a bonus
