About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide core network engineering services for IOEE and IOSEE systems and equipment
  • Manage ongoing operations, planned upgrades, technology insertion, and strategic capability development
  • Develop product requirements from inception to conclusion under general supervision
  • Develop specifications for simple to moderately complex problems
  • Evaluate and mitigate network STIG compliance risk
  • Configure and deploy devices according to DLA IOEE and IOSEE standards
  • Manage DLA IPv4 and IPv6 address space
  • Implement hardware and software technology refreshes and upgrades
  • Conduct site surveys and determine space and base infrastructure requirements
  • Plan installations and network designs
  • Support last-half-mile circuits connecting to IOEE points of presence
  • Order and track circuits using DISA Storefront
  • Provide classified network support, including Type-1 encryptors, GEM-X, and re-keying procedures
  • Integrate services and coalition networks as required
  • Provide Tier III troubleshooting and 24x7x365 on-call support
  • Develop network monitoring capabilities for real-time IOEE/IOSEE situational awareness
  • Conduct network engineering planning, analysis, testing, and implementation planning
  • Provide technical support engineering for interoperability, service definitions, network design and installation, equipment testing, validation, video teleconferencing, imaging, training, staging, and installation
  • Track DLA DISN sub-network assets through their lifecycle
  • Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives on technical matters
  • Deploy to DLA sites for installation or troubleshooting activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience
  • Experience including at least two projects in the specified technical areas
  • At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years
  • Must possess a High Risk, Critical Sensitive, Tier 5/SSBI investigation at time of proposal
  • Top Secret clearance
  • DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III (CISSP, CISM or Equivalent)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP-E)
  • Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
  • Ability to travel around 3 times per year
  • Preferred: AWS Cloud Practitioner
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
  • Preferred: CompTIA Cloud+
