About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned with GACA curriculum and state standards
- Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and collaborate within the MTSS/RTI model on Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions
- Implement student accommodations aligned with individualized learning needs
- Use assessment data to diagnose needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies
- Build positive relationships with students and families
- Provide timely feedback on student work and assessments
- Conduct parent conferences and create or update Personal Learning Plans
- Communicate about student progress, attendance, and needs
- Administer, score, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments
- Participate in Georgia standardized assessments, End-of-Pathway assessments, benchmarks, CFAs, and diagnostics
- Maintain attendance, communication, academic progress, and intervention records
- Collaborate in the Professional Learning Community and with advisory teachers, counselors, special education staff, and other team members
- Support virtual and in-person social, engagement, and community-building activities
- Attend professional development and pursue ongoing instructional growth
- Help organize and facilitate graduation, field trips, engagement activities, recruitment efforts, marketing events, and family orientations
- Support a positive, inclusive virtual school culture and perform other duties supporting school operations and student success
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education
- Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction
- Georgia Clearance Certificate through the Department of Education, or ability to obtain one within the first 30 days of hire
- Strong technology skills, especially Microsoft Office products and Google Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and punctual
- Student and family-focused approach
- Experience teaching or supporting Title I schools
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Team player track record
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and diverse community members
- Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events, including occasional overnight travel
- Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed
- Personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
