About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to GACA curriculum and state standards
- Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and collaborate within the MTSS/RTI model on Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions
- Implement student accommodations aligned with individualized learning needs
- Use assessment data to diagnose needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies
- Maintain knowledge of assigned courses and K-12 curriculum pathways
- Build relationships with students and families and provide timely feedback
- Conduct parent conferences and create/update Personal Learning Plans
- Communicate about student progress, attendance, and needs
- Support alternate lessons, assessments, and targeted instructional strategies
- Administer, score, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments
- Participate in Georgia state standardized assessment sessions, including in-person and virtual testing
- Maintain attendance, communication, academic progress, and intervention records
- Collaborate in the Professional Learning Community to monitor data and plan instruction
- Partner with Advisory Teachers, counselors, Special Education staff, and team members
- Support virtual and in-person social, engagement, and community-building activities
- Attend professional development and pursue instructional growth
- Assist with graduation, field trips, engagement activities, recruitment, marketing events, and family orientations
- Support a positive and inclusive virtual school culture
- Advise DECA students and prepare them for local, state, and national competitions
- Organize fundraising events, school-based enterprises, and community service projects
- Coordinate marketing projects with community partners, including promotions and social media campaigns
- Build business and industry relationships for guest speakers and career connections
- Advocate for program growth and student career opportunities through outreach and networking
- Perform other duties supporting school operations and student success
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in the content area or related field
- Georgia Clearance Certificate in Marketing Education (Grades 6-12), or ability to obtain one within the first 30 days of employment
- Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction
- Priority given to candidates certified in multiple Career Technical Education fields
- Strong technology skills, particularly Microsoft Office products and Google Workspace
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and punctual
- Student- and family-focused approach
- Experience teaching or supporting Title I schools
- High degree of flexibility
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, staff, and diverse community members
- Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events, including occasional overnight travel
- Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed
- Personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication
- Ability to serve as an advisor for DECA and assist students with DECA competitions
- Ability to organize fundraising events, school-based enterprises, and community service projects
- Ability to coordinate marketing projects, event promotions, and social media campaigns
- Ability to build relationships with local businesses and industry professionals
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel throughout Georgia
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
