About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consolidate and analyze daily oil, gas, and water production volumes for operational and financial reporting
- Identify, analyze, and communicate daily production variances to Operations and Asset teams
- Investigate root causes and potential impacts of production variances
- Monitor production data quality and resolve data issues
- Coordinate timely data feeds into reporting and accounting systems
- Partner with Asset teams and Finance on daily, weekly, and month-end production reports
- Coordinate reporting activities with Permian Finance and Permian Production Revenue Accounting
- Build, maintain, and enhance production reports and dashboards using Spotfire and Power BI
- Provide ad-hoc production data analysis and reporting support to Operations, Finance, and management
- Help standardize workflows, improve reporting processes, and document best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 1 or more years’ relevant experience in production accounting, production reporting, operations support, or data analysis within the oil and gas industry
- Ability to work with production or operational data, including validating, analyzing, and explaining variances
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data review techniques
- Associate degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (preferred)
- Experience using Field Data Gathering (FDG), Avocet, ProCount, or ProdView (preferred)
- Experience with Spotfire or Power BI (preferred)
- Ability to improve workflows, standardize processes, or support reporting enhancements (preferred)
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet recurring deadlines (preferred)
- Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively with Operations, Finance, and technical teams (preferred)
- Initiative and ownership mindset, with focus on accuracy, continuous improvement, and collaboration (preferred)
