About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join a 7-person Backend team, working closely with the Product Manager and Frontend teams
Contribute to the development and operation of a scalable SaaS platform in both build and run environments
Design and develop backend services in C# / .NET 8 and .NET 10
Design and evolve REST APIs
Define API interface contracts, versioning, and backward compatibility
Design and maintain event-driven microservices
Integrate retailer and partner systems
Work with Kafka / Azure Event Hubs
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design
Model and operate PostgreSQL databases handling large data volumes
Perform unit and integration testing, as well as code reviews
Deploy and operate services on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Instrument and monitor applications using Azure Application Insights
Participate in production monitoring and incident resolution
Monitor service performance, reliability, and availability
Optimize queries and processing for large data volumes
Ensure the quality and maintainability of deliverables
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development environment
Help enhance the team’s practices and tools, particularly those related to AI

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years of experience in .NET backend development
Strong command of C# / .NET
Production experience with event-driven microservices architectures
Experience with REST APIs
Ability to own a project or feature end to end, challenge requirements, and communicate with a Product Manager and technical teams
Experience with Azure, particularly AKS and Application Insights, is a strong plus
Experience in AdTech, Retail Media, e-commerce, or a multi-tenant SaaS platform is an advantage
