About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and enhance database infrastructures to ensure operational continuity
  • Install, configure, and deploy Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases
  • Participate in migration, upgrade, and new platform deployment projects
  • Implement high-availability, replication, and clustering mechanisms
  • Define and optimize storage architectures associated with databases
  • Contribute to the industrialization and continuous improvement of operational processes
  • Provide day-to-day administration of Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments
  • Handle incidents and change requests in accordance with service-level commitments
  • Manage backups, restores, and business continuity plans using NetBackup
  • Administer user accounts, roles, and access permissions
  • Monitor performance and optimize data infrastructure resources
  • Operate and monitor scheduled jobs using Control-M
  • Keep technical documentation and operating procedures up to date

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of experience administering databases in demanding production environments
  • Administration of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments
  • Backup and restore using NetBackup
  • Job scheduling and monitoring using Control-M
  • Knowledge of high availability, replication, clustering, and performance optimization
  • Experience operating in a managed services environment and with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thoroughness and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and share knowledge
  • Autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to make proactive improvement recommendations
