About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of core business applications
Design and develop backend applications and services in C# / .NET, particularly .NET 8 and later versions
Develop and enhance REST APIs / Web APIs
Develop and maintain WCF, WCF REST, and Web Services
Work on ASP.NET MVC / WebForms applications and .NET Framework environments
Design robust, maintainable, and high-performance solutions based on SOLID principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
Develop and work with data using Entity Framework Core
Work with SQL Server and Oracle databases
Develop and integrate XML and JSON data flows
Participate in code reviews and implement unit tests
Collaborate with analysts and architects to translate requirements into appropriate solutions
Understand and interpret UML and BPMN models
Provide corrective and evolutionary maintenance for existing applications
Diagnose and resolve technical incidents
Identify and resolve application and database performance issues
Optimize queries and data access using Entity Framework Core / SQL
Contribute to monitoring and improving code quality
Document solutions and share best practices
Contribute to development and delivery through Azure DevOps and Git

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience in .NET backend development
Proficiency in C# / .NET / .NET Core / .NET 8+
Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC / WebForms / .NET Framework
Proficiency in REST / Web API / Web Services / WCF
Proficiency in Entity Framework Core
Hands-on experience using Entity Framework Core to write, read, and optimize complex queries
Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle
Proficiency in XML / JSON
Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Git; TFVC is a plus
Knowledge of SOLID principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
Experience with unit testing
Proficiency in Visual Studio
Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of UML / BPMN
Familiarity with Redgate tools is a plus
Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Excellent command of French is essential
