Key responsibilities & impact

Lead comprehensive functional scoping to clarify requirements, challenge solutions, and develop a well-supported recommendation
Conduct interviews with business experts
Identify and challenge requirements and pain points
Map As-Is processes and propose improvements
Document processes in BPMN or an equivalent notation
Identify and structure the required functionalities
Build and prioritize the functional backlog and Epics
Benchmark solutions available on the market
Challenge shortlisted solutions and identify alternatives
Build a functional coverage matrix
Assess solutions against technical, operational, regulatory, and organizational criteria
Analyze risks and define mitigation measures
Incorporate GDPR, Privacy by Design, and Security by Design
Develop implementation scenarios
Define functional work packages and their dependencies
Develop the roadmap and contribute to effort and cost estimates
Build the Business Case and calculate ROI
Collaborate with IT Architecture to ensure integration into the information system
Ensure traceability of requirements and decisions
Organize interim reviews with stakeholders
Incorporate business and technical feedback
Track decisions and obstacles
Maintain functional documentation
Support stakeholders in decision-making
Contribute to specifications and implementation support
Provide regular, independent progress reporting throughout the assignment

What you’ll need

Significant experience in the banking or financial sector, ideally in Luxembourg
Experience with scoping, transformation, or solution-selection phases, from requirements gathering through recommendation
Knowledge of Private Assets, investment funds, custodian banking, or Asset Servicing is a plus
Expertise in Business Analysis
Strong requirements analysis and documentation skills
Proficiency in Process Mapping and BPMN
Proficiency in As-Is / To-Be analysis
Experience with solution benchmarking and Gap Analysis
Experience managing backlogs and Epics
Functional and non-functional analysis skills
Risk analysis skills
Business Case and ROI / Cost-Benefit Analysis skills
Knowledge of GDPR, Privacy by Design, and Security by Design
Project management and digital transformation skills
Experience collaborating with IT architects
Knowledge of Private Assets / Private Equity is a plus
Experience in custodian banking / Fund Services is a plus
Knowledge of eFront is a plus
Self-motivated, critical thinker with an objective and fact-based approach
Ability to communicate with business experts as well as IT and architecture stakeholders
Strong summarization skills, proactive approach, and high-quality deliverables
