About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure developed software operates as expected at technical and functional levels
- Bring testing expertise to the software design and delivery team
- Contribute to functional, non-functional, and end-to-end testing, including testing with external partners
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and implementation of quality assurance
- Collaborate with functional analysts, developers, and software engineers within the operations department
- Review acceptance criteria
- Set up automation tools such as Playwright
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts
- Define and execute automated test scenarios
- Support teams in estimating test effort and defining project test plans
- Improve testing processes and test deliverables
- Implement quality assurance practices
- Execute functional and non-functional tests
- Perform end-to-end testing with external partners
- Perform UI and API testing
- Test Java services, web services, REST APIs, and proxy services
- Follow up on defects and issues
- Produce test reports
- Support software design and delivery teams with testing expertise
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in software testing
- Experience with UI and API testing, particularly with Angular and Java Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of testing processes
- Comfortable working in Agile environments
- Experience with software testing and test automation
- Experience with Playwright, UI testing, API testing, API test automation, Angular, Java Spring Boot, Java services, web services, REST APIs, proxy services, Git, Groovy, TypeScript, and AI prompting in a QA context
- Jira and Xray experience is a plus
- ReadyAPI experience is a plus
- Dutch or French fluent/native or bilingual proficiency
- English fluent/full professional proficiency
- Good understanding of the other national language
- Strong team spirit and willingness to share knowledge and best practices
- Ability to create an atmosphere of openness
- Eagerness to learn, grow and develop testing expertise
