About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up, configure, administer, maintain, and support internal and external networks and server operating systems
  • Create and test data backups and support system recoverability, disaster recovery, and contingency planning
  • Verify data/system integrity and define or implement database and system access controls
  • Maintain system/network availability and performance; troubleshoot performance issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Enforce system security
  • Maintain system-administration policies, configuration-control/management plans, and mission-function system schemas
  • Perform system-wide integrity tests
  • Apply required security vulnerability patches
  • Install and maintain operating systems and applications
  • Provide system reports to the Government

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Secret level clearance minimum
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • At least 3 years of experience in internal/external network setup, configuration and support; network performance issues; operating-system installation and maintenance; and application installation and maintenance
  • Experience administering secure DoD networks and servers in classified environments
  • Experience with backup/recovery, vulnerability patching, access control, configuration management, system hardening, and network performance troubleshooting
  • Relevant DoD cybersecurity or system-administration certification(s) preferred
