About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, implement and maintain data pipelines using AI agents to produce code
  • Develop algorithms to transform data into useful information
  • Analyse data to identify issues and define logic for complex functions and scripts
  • Guide and validate AI-generated solutions for simplicity, performance and maintainability
  • Own data modelling and data quality as the expert behind AI-generated results
  • Explore new data sources and integrate them into data products
  • Work with data CI/CD processes, testing and monitoring
  • Create prototypes and documentation for key aspects of the work
  • Contribute to data models, ETL pipelines and services for a multinational financial-sector client

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor, master's or Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering or other quantitative subjects
  • Strong hands-on experience with dbt and SQL
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, AI-driven/agentic development
  • Comfortable directing and validating AI-generated code
  • Ability to set up and contribute to an effective agentic framework
  • Proven experience with Python Programming; PySpark is a plus
  • Software development background with knowledge of design patterns and unit testing
  • Proven experience with CI/CD processes for data, data testing and monitoring
  • Strong data modelling, data quality and data architecture knowledge
  • Knowledge of system design, data structures, algorithms, storage systems and cloud infrastructure
  • Agile project experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence is nice to have
  • Insurance/reinsurance or financial industry experience is nice to have
  • English communication skills at B2/C1 level
  • Candidates must currently reside in Portugal or Spain
