Intern – Marketing & Communications
Consumers Energy. Assist in developing communications materials, including intranet and newsletter articles, collateral/brochures, and presentation materials .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in developing communications materials, including intranet and newsletter articles, collateral/brochures, and presentation materials
- Support content development for websites, intranets, social media, blog posts, and video
- Support media relations by researching and analyzing media outlets and reporters, updating media contact lists, and monitoring coverage of industry issues
- Provide event support for employee meetings, lunch & learns, customer meetings, open houses, and other internal and external-facing events
- Maintain libraries of audio/video footage and photography
- Gain practical, real-world experience through challenging work assignments supporting communications and marketing objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations major
- Intermediate knowledge of AP Style Guide
- Basic knowledge of social media products and publishing, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and YouTube
- Comfortable with MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
