About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and maintain daily operation of corporate access control systems and report issues to Security leadership
  • Process requests for new, replacement, or changed access control cards and keys
  • Deactivate access privileges
  • Serve as a support liaison or primary liaison with contract companies and outside utility companies requiring facility access cards
  • Perform and process personnel identity verifications for non-ITC employees
  • Complete personnel risk assessments for employees, contractors, and employees of other utility companies
  • Support security threat management activities involving identity management, security travel, and vendor services
  • Ensure ITC and regulatory requirements are met before issuing access control and maintain documentation
  • Create monthly and quarterly access control reports
  • Assist with compliance reports for internal and external audits
  • Distribute keys and maintain related records
  • Administer and oversee visitor access for non-substation facilities
  • Maintain inventory of security-related supplies
  • Support corporate security initiatives and projects and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in information technology, human resources, criminal justice, or a similar related technical field, or relevant equivalent education and experience
  • Intermediate: minimum of three years of experience in an office, security, or law enforcement setting
  • Senior: minimum of five years of experience in an office, security, or law enforcement setting
  • Intermediate: experience with access control system software and security threat management preferred
  • Senior: experience with access control system software and security threat management required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate, and other industry-standard programs
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for Intermediate level
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for Senior level
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Must maintain high ethical standards, protect confidential information, maintain a safe and secure workplace, and demonstrate professional competence
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; ITC does not sponsor H-1B or TN visas
