About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide coordination and organization to dynamic teams in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with critical deadlines
  • Assist with day-to-day resource allocation of the US and Mexico Digital Forensics team
  • Support process improvement initiatives impacting the Discovery + Data Insights practice
  • Participate in projects involving identification, collection and analysis of computer systems and electronic data sources
  • Develop solutions and strategies for data collection in unique environments and project-specific complexities
  • Assist clients with selecting appropriate technology for project objectives
  • Manage project close-out, including data return and database archival
  • Assist business development throughout the sales process by building client relationships, demonstrating technology and expertise, and preparing proposals and cost estimates
  • Generate sales leads and new revenue through networking and business development activities
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities on current engagements
  • Participate in industry events, client demonstrations, presentations and internal technology initiatives
  • Develop and implement customized ideas and workflows
  • Lead evidence management, media tracking and collection log documentation
  • Apply quality control and best practices across engagements
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and ensure client satisfaction
  • Perform data filtering, extractions and staging from forensic images for processing
  • Use off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis and reporting tools
  • Collaborate across business lines to develop technology solutions for privacy, cyber, information governance, compliance monitoring and insider risk
  • Coordinate digital forensics services for law firm and corporate clients
  • Support forensic investigations, cyber incident response and eDiscovery matters
  • Scope matter requirements, draft approaches and fee estimates, define workflows, coordinate tasks and balance priorities
  • Collaborate with global Discovery + Data Insights teams in Brazil, EMEA and APAC to align standards and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on technical and/or computer forensic investigations experience
  • Understanding of best practices procedures and technological trends in the industry
  • Experience conducting digital forensic preservations and examinations on mobile device operating systems using industry-standard forensic tools
  • Proficient in industry-standard forensic and eDiscovery tools, preferably including EnCase, FTK, Tableau, X-Ways, Macquisition, Cellebrite, Nuix, ModeOne, Magnet AXIOM, Reveal-Brainspace, and RelativityOne
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of engagement and management teams
  • Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Superior fundamental understanding of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
  • Preferred: Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • Preferred: SQL and PowerShell experience
  • Preferred: Experience consulting on complex matters, solving problems, troubleshooting and working with clients while collaborating with internal stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Forensics or related field
  • Certified as a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), EnCase Examiner (EnCE) or Access Data Examiner (ACE) preferred; similar certifications and training highly preferred
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Ability to travel and work in challenging environments, up to 50% of the time
  • Employment authorization verified through E-Verify during onboarding
