About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the monthly close for assigned accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Prepare and maintain documented account reconciliations
  • Maintain ASC 842 lease accounting, schedules, entries, and reconciliations using third-party lease accounting software
  • Review lease agreements, amendments, renewals, and terminations and coordinate accounting treatment
  • Classify and record rent, utilities, and occupancy-related expenses
  • Own prepaid expense reconciliations and amortization schedules
  • Perform monthly variance analysis for software, insurance, utilities, rent, and operating expenses
  • Review invoices, contracts, and account activity for missing accruals, coding errors, and timing differences
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve outstanding items
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, FP&A, Legal, Operations, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain process documentation and support internal controls
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Support ad hoc accounting projects
  • Report directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit roles
  • Advanced English skills, with clear written and verbal communication of accounting matters
  • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience preparing prepaid expense reconciliations and amortization schedules
  • Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Strong understanding of expense recognition and occupancy-related charges
  • Experience performing account variance analysis and explaining business drivers
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound accounting judgment
  • Ability to independently manage responsibilities, meet deadlines, and proactively communicate issues
  • Collaborative mindset and strong cross-team communication
  • Preferred: hands-on LeaseQuery experience
  • Preferred: US GAAP knowledge, including ASC 842 lease accounting
  • Preferred: NetSuite experience
  • Preferred: experience with multi-currency entities
  • Preferred: experience improving accounting processes through automation or AI tools and validating outputs
