About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform administration and support activities for physical and virtual server infrastructure
Support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization, storage, and infrastructure services environments
Monitor the availability, capacity, and performance of infrastructure environments, identifying and resolving incidents
Execute operational procedures, planned changes (RDMs), and maintenance activities in production environments
Handle and resolve incidents, problems, and requests related to corporate infrastructure
Support technology modernization initiatives, environment migrations, and obsolescence reduction efforts
Monitor backups, recovery routines, and validation of infrastructure services
Support the administration of authentication services, corporate directories, and other shared infrastructure services
Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, operating procedures, and environment diagrams
Coordinate with vendors and partners to provide technical support and resolve incidents
Participate in the implementation of infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives for corporate environments
Work an extended shift schedule, contributing to the reduction of point-in-time incidents and increased operational reliability of services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Availability to work from 3:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems
Knowledge of server virtualization (VMware or similar technologies)
Basic knowledge of computer networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and load balancing)
Knowledge of server, storage, and backup infrastructure
Experience or exposure to supporting corporate environments
Ability to analyze and resolve technical incidents
Knowledge of infrastructure environment monitoring and management tools
Knowledge of VMware vSphere is a plus
Knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, and authentication services is a plus
Knowledge of load balancers (F5, NGINX, or similar) is a plus
Knowledge of backup and data recovery solutions is a plus
Knowledge of enterprise storage environments is a plus
Knowledge of automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python is a plus
Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management is a plus
Certifications related to infrastructure, virtualization, or operating systems are a plus
Experience in high-availability and mission-critical environments is a plus
