About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the processing and review of monthly payroll runs for Coople workers on temporary assignments
  • Manage social insurance processes (AHV/IV/EO/ALV, UVG, KTG, BVG), including changes, settlements, and reconciliations
  • Independently handle complex cases such as illness, accidents, maternity, and paternity, as well as daily allowance and benefits inquiries with insurers
  • Process withholding tax with various cantonal tax authorities
  • Handle wage garnishments and information requests from debt enforcement offices
  • Serve as a point of contact for Coople workers, internal teams, authorities, and insurers
  • Reconcile with financial accounting and assist with year-end closing, salary statements, and audits
  • Act as deputy for the team lead and provide subject-matter support to the team
  • Further develop and optimize payroll processes, including the use of AI-powered tools for checks, reconciliations, and document analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Commercial apprenticeship (EFZ) with further training in payroll or social insurance (e.g., Payroll Specialist Certificate or Certified Social Insurance Specialist)
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of professional experience in Swiss payroll, ideally in temporary staffing or in a high-volume payroll environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Swiss social insurance and withholding tax
  • Strong affinity for IT and excellent Excel skills
  • Openness to new technologies and interest in working with AI-powered tools; experience is an advantage but not required
  • Precise, independent, and solution-oriented working style, with the ability to perform well under pressure during busy periods
  • Discreet handling of personal data
  • Very good German and good English skills; French is an advantage
