About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide high-quality care and therapeutic services to individuals dealing with behavioral issues
  • Work a minimum of 8 hours per month and maximum of 10 hours per week
  • Provide coverage for group therapy and, when needed, individual (1:1) session support
  • Conduct psychological and biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, medical doctors, and other healthcare professionals
  • Complete suicide risk assessments within identified time frames and consult clinical leaders
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews regarding length of stay and level of care
  • Identify community resources for treatment and aftercare planning
  • Follow standardized group curriculum and treatment planning
  • Educate clients and families about mental health and behavioral issues
  • Attend weekly clinical supervision prepared with client updates, case formulations, and questions
  • Follow confidentiality, ethical, professional, and legal standards
  • Stay current on behavioral therapy and mental health research

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Valid state licensure in the state of X (add in licensure)
  • Group facilitation experience with willingness to follow a structured curriculum
  • Experience in behavioral therapy and counseling
  • If eligible based on licensure status and applicable state regulations, willingness to provide formal clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians
  • Applications accepted from Associate and Independently Licensed Therapists
  • Independent licensure in Massachusetts (LMHC, LICSW) is highly preferred
  • Relevant PHP/IOP experience preferred
  • No clinical supervision is provided for Associate Licensed Therapists in this per diem position
