About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC, and lighting controls and applicable services
  • Serve as an OEM application expert
  • Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities
  • Collaborate with the sales team on customer-facing engagements as the technical sales and OEM application expert
  • Engage Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering, and Engineering when needed
  • Create high-level technical requirements for new OEM opportunities, including hardware bills of material, third-party device integrations, control panels, base programming files, distributed controllers, and field services
  • Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls, integrations, and other services
  • Work with Account Executives for assigned OEM customers
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with Project Management, Product Management, Field Services, Solution Architects, Technical Services, System Engineering, and Professional Services
  • Interact with Commercial teams across the Americas and Product/Engineering teams in Kennesaw, Georgia; Belluno, Italy; Eden Prairie, Minnesota; and Sidney, Ohio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree in Engineering, or related technical discipline -or- equivalent industry experience
  • Two years of food retail or foodservice product development / engineering / field service / technical support or related experience
  • Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice, including E3, Site Supervisor, and distributed controls such as case controllers
  • Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software
  • Demonstrated success in a technical role in the food retail or foodservice industry or similar industry
  • Effective analytical, coordination, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 40-50%
  • Proven experience in consultative solutions selling (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with customers and internal team members (preferred)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
