About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide advanced analytical support for clinical, operational, and performance data
- Translate complex data into insights informing operational strategy, quality improvement, and leadership decisions
- Evaluate data integrity, interpret performance trends, identify root causes of reporting variances, and recommend solutions
- Serve as a subject matter resource for hospital data, metric definitions, validation methodology, and dashboard interpretation
- Evaluate accuracy, completeness, and consistency of clinical and operational performance data
- Investigate discrepancies, missing information, and unexpected performance trends; recommend corrective actions
- Develop and maintain metric definitions, data dictionaries, validation processes, and documentation standards
- Lead recurring reporting and analytics audits and quality assurance reviews
- Manage collection, interpretation, and maintenance of hospital-partner operational and clinical data
- Reconcile hospital-supplied data with internal reporting and recommend process or methodology improvements
- Guide data readiness activities for new hospital partnerships
- Assess reports and dashboards for accuracy, consistency, usability, and operational alignment
- Analyze trends, outliers, risk areas, and improvement opportunities and communicate actionable insights
- Develop clinical ad hoc analyses and reporting deliverables
- Document reporting processes, methodologies, assumptions, and metric logic
- Assess dashboard design, define user needs, recommend enhancements, and support adoption of performance tools
- Design and enhance scorecards, dashboards, and reports
- Partner with Clinical Optimization, Operations, and IT teams on data quality and reporting issues
- Coordinate testing and implementation of reporting enhancements and new data sources
- Represent operational reporting needs in cross-functional discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Business, Data Analytics, Public Health, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, analytics, informatics, performance improvement, or a related healthcare setting
- Experience interpreting healthcare performance metrics, evaluating reporting methodology, and presenting analytical findings to operational stakeholders
- Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional data, reporting, quality improvement, or process improvement initiatives with operational and technical stakeholders
- Understanding of hospital and physician practice operations
- Knowledge of healthcare performance metrics and reporting concepts
- Familiarity with data warehouses, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and business judgment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal day-to-day direction
- Ability to interpret incomplete, conflicting, or complex information and determine recommended next steps
- Reliable access to internet
- Experience supporting emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or multi-site physician practice operations, preferred
- Experience with SQL or data query tools, preferred
- Familiarity with EHR, practice management, and healthcare data systems, preferred
