About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop strategic pricing objectives and imperatives
- Provide analytical and strategic pricing expertise and assistance
- Review requests for quotations to assist the proposal team in developing estimates and pricing strategies
- Gather data to determine the effectiveness and profitability of pricing strategies and tactics
- Monitor economic market and competitor pricing strategies affecting pricing structures
- Provide tactical and strategic pricing solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing and profitability of existing accounts
- Complete detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner- or contractor-furnished plan sets
- Determine accurate quantities of related materials measured from provided plan sets
- Identify materials required for construction facilities
- Research plans and specifications for special material requirements
- Procure, pick up, and return plan sets as required
- Communicate with design engineers or owners to clarify unusual or special material issues
- Determine whether supplied materials meet local, state, and federal specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in bid preparation, sales or related industry experience
- BS/BA in a related discipline
- Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field
- Ability to complete detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets
- Ability to determine accurate quantities of related materials from provided plan sets
- Ability to identify materials required for construction facilities
- Ability to research plans and specifications for special material requirements
- Ability to communicate with design engineers or owners regarding unusual or special material issues
- Ability to determine whether supplied materials meet local, state, and federal specifications
