About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver holistic support to a designated cohort of Scholars in the CORE Academy program
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Scholars and families
  • Facilitate age-appropriate workshops on social-emotional learning, leadership, life skills, academic support, and college/career readiness
  • Use proactive classroom management and restorative practices to create emotionally safe, high-expectation learning environments
  • Create enrichment experiences focused on identity, purpose, resilience, and community service
  • Serve as a daily role model and advocate for equitable access to opportunity
  • Develop, manage, review, and update individualized Scholar Success Plans
  • Conduct needs assessments covering academic, social-emotional, and basic needs
  • Provide case management, referrals, resource navigation, follow-up, crisis support, and one-to-one support
  • Coordinate wraparound services with school personnel, counselors, and community partners
  • Refer clinical, therapeutic, and counseling needs to appropriate professionals
  • Support Scholar engagement, behavior, and attendance with school teams
  • Assist with arrival, dismissal, lunch duty, hallway transitions, and other routine school activities
  • Maintain a supportive adult presence on campus and contribute to school culture
  • Build relationships with families through engagement, home visits, and family meetings
  • Liaise between families, schools, and CORE to advocate for needs and remove barriers
  • Document Scholar interactions, case notes, referrals, and progress in Salesforce or designated data platforms
  • Track and analyze data, maintain data integrity, and meet reporting deadlines
  • Participate in staff meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development
  • Support program-wide events, initiatives, and culture-building efforts
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Program Director
  • Report to the Program Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, social work, or a closely related field (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program implementation, classroom instruction, case management, or youth development
  • Experience working with diverse youth populations ages 10–18
  • Strong knowledge of adolescent development, trauma-informed practices, and case management approaches
  • Skilled in group facilitation, classroom leadership, and creating inclusive environments
  • Ability to assess needs and coordinate services and resources with external agencies
  • Culturally responsive and equity-focused mindset
  • Highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Apple products and Salesforce or similar data systems
  • Adaptable to new technologies
  • Professional and persistent in outreach to families, schools, and partners
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel independently and alone, including to locations that may not be handicap accessible and may require climbing stairs
  • Must be available to travel throughout the U.S. as necessary, with some overnight stays required
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Able to perform the stated physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting or moving items up to 15 pounds
  • Able to manually operate phones, computers, and other office equipment
