About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate with policyholders, address questions, resolve problems, and maintain rapport
  • Work cohesively with claims, underwriting, billing, agents, and outside vendors
  • Perform technical claim, billing, and underwriting duties, including new claim setup, payment issuance, policy creation, preparing accounts to be modeled, and data entry
  • Maintain accurate and timely file status within systems throughout the underwriting and claims life cycle
  • Handle incoming client calls regarding policy, claims, and billing inquiries during business hours
  • Assist with data reporting using tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Excel
  • Pursue professional development and training for product knowledge, role skills, and personal goals set with the leader
  • Undertake other duties reasonably required by the Company
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior insurance and/or billing experience preferred
  • Equine industry experience and/or equine knowledge preferred
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and other databases
  • Strong organization skills
  • Customer service-focused mindset
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and projects effectively
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Unable to require or obtain employer sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future
  • Pursue adjuster or agent license
