About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct contextual inquiry, user interviews, and observation of teams using AI
- Build and maintain understanding of individual contributors, champions, managers, and corporate buyers
- Synthesize field data into jobs-to-be-done, adoption blockers, and skill-transfer conditions
- Establish continuous discovery and champion user perspectives in product decisions
- Design the client dashboard, internal console, and conversations
- Design experiences inside Microsoft Teams and Slack, including concise messages for unfamiliar users
- Design for enterprise and higher-education deployments while maintaining a coherent product system
- Collaborate with AI product engineers to turn field learnings into features and re-test them in pilots
- Own the design system, including components, tokens, patterns, and associated copy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–8 years in product design, UX design, or a hybrid design-research role, ideally on complex, multi-user B2B products
- A strong portfolio showing both craft and thinking
- Skilled in designing studies, conducting field research, and synthesizing qualitative data into clear direction
- Experience designing inside environments you do not control, such as a messaging client, extension, or embedded product, or a clear appetite for it
- Comfortable designing AI-driven and adaptive experiences handling uncertainty, personalization, and non-linear workflows
- Excellent visual and interaction design skills, including typography, spacing, motion, and detail-oriented trust-building
- Willingness to sit in a client’s Teams channel for a week and observe usage
- Autonomous and opinionated, while remaining responsive to evidence
- Genuine curiosity about AI and how people learn at work
- Fluent in French and English, spoken and written
- Spanish is a plus
- Interest in ownership, equity, and an early-stage, career-defining challenge
