About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Accountable for production activities at multiple Formulations & Packaging and Active Synthesis suppliers across the region
- Implement Corteva manufacturing strategies at supplier facilities and ensure compliance with Contract Manufacturing Agreement requirements and procedures
- Support Site Selection Projects for new product production
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Business Teams, R&D, Purchasing, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions
- Set continuous-improvement targets and monitor manufacturing techniques, costs, waste reduction, and quality
- Manage supplier relationships as the Corteva ambassador and set manufacturing expectations
- Provide expertise in plant operations, improvement identification, project execution, and EHSQ program implementation
- Represent Manufacturing at Logical Supply Team meetings
- Facilitate campaign reports and technology reviews and document improvement opportunities
- Lead or participate in supplier selection and new-activity processes
- Ensure products and technologies are manufacturing-ready and troubleshoot technical issues
- Support technology transfers, Management of Change, new product trials, and process-change documentation
- Participate in M&ISC projects to ensure manufacturing readiness
- Ensure confidentiality agreements are in place before exchanging information with external facilities
- Monitor and improve supplier process performance and asset capability across product integrity, quality, process safety, costs, yields, schedules, and compliance
- Support capacity planning and improvement tracking
- Lead or facilitate EBITDA improvement and new product launch projects
- Maintain effective Corteva technology implementation and coordinate technology-package updates
- Assure production-plan feasibility and determine asset capability expectations
- Own Produce to Plan and Meet Production Schedule performance at assigned facilities
- Manage budget targets and inventory discrepancies
- Support procurement contract reviews and SAP cost updates
- Report goals, milestones, progress, and issues to stakeholders
- Support shelf-life extension and manage production components of raw-material qualifications and packaging
- Assess supplier adherence to Corteva EHSQ expectations
- Resolve supplier-site quality issues with compliance and quality functions
- Lead or participate in root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Support quality activities, including export quality data, manual CoA generation, and template updates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a scientific or engineering bachelor’s degree or four-year equivalent degree in supply chain or engineering
- Five or more years of direct experience in the agriculture or chemical industry
- Multiple years with direct manufacturing experience, including direct accountability for manufacturing processes, daily operations, supporting logistics, or supply planning
- Understanding of quality systems, especially product specifications, release, and quality control
- Understanding of Crop Life or Contamination Prevention Standards is especially valuable
- Experience with continuous improvement/Six Sigma/Lean is highly valued
- Prior experience with relationship management with suppliers is strongly desired
- Prefer experience utilizing SAP/ERP systems
- Some travel (10–25%) to supplier sites is required
