About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the marketplace as a whole, including cross-cutting problems between consumers and lawyers
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities affecting job claims, post-submission experiences, pricing, monetisation and lawyer supply
  • Decide what is worth building, size opportunities, write briefs and drive initiatives through design and engineering to launch
  • Map the end-to-end journey of consumers with legal needs and lawyers serving them
  • Identify friction, gaps and opportunities across both sides of the marketplace
  • Use data, customer conversations and hypotheses to size opportunities and assess value, confidence and discovery cost
  • Shape and defend the prioritised roadmap with Product Managers and leadership
  • Convert ambiguous product problems into clear problem statements, success measures and specifications
  • Work with engineering and design to get initiatives into the backlog, unblock delivery and launch products
  • Speak with consumers and lawyers, watch sessions and incorporate real behaviour into the roadmap
  • Design and evaluate experiments, including failed experiments, and use results to inform prioritisation
  • Share knowledge about sizing, specifications and experiments with other Product Managers
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Legal/Content, Sales and Growth teams
  • Communicate progress, blockers and next steps

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience as a Senior, Lead or Principal Product Manager, ideally on a consumer product or a two-sided marketplace
  • Track record of owning a product area end to end: finding the problem, sizing it, shipping the fix, and showing it worked
  • Experience building and defending a prioritised roadmap with a stated impact model
  • Track record of shipping with engineering teams
  • Clear product specifications and understanding of technical constraints
  • Direct experience talking to and testing with customers
  • Comfort working alongside other Product Managers on a shared product
  • Confidence with SQL and a BI tool
  • Ability to build an estimate from first principles
  • Comfort shipping AI features and using AI tools
  • Two-sided marketplace experience is an advantage
  • Pricing or monetisation experience is an advantage
  • Experience with consumer products involving high-consideration, emotionally loaded, infrequent decisions is an advantage
  • Experience shipping products built on LLMs is an advantage
  • Early-stage or scale-up experience is an advantage
  • Comfort with imperfect data and unfinished infrastructure is an advantage
