About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, execute and maintain automated tests across web and API applications
Contribute to test automation frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript and Python
Perform functional, regression, smoke and exploratory testing
Create maintainable automated tests following QE standards and patterns
Test backend services and APIs, including requests, responses, integrations and data
Investigate defects and identify quality risks with developers
Participate in requirements refinement and technical discussions
Contribute automated tests to CI/CD pipelines and investigate test-run failures
Participate in code reviews and improve test code
Document defects, test coverage, risks and testing outcomes
Improve QE processes, automation coverage and testing practices
Support testing of AI-enabled features
Share knowledge and participate in team learning and collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience in software testing across web applications and APIs
Practical experience creating and maintaining automated tests
Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, ideally TypeScript, JavaScript or Python
Experience with modern web or API automation tools and frameworks
Understanding of API testing, including HTTP requests, responses, status codes and common API behaviours
Experience performing functional, regression, smoke and exploratory testing
Understanding of software testing principles, test design and defect management
Experience using version control such as Git
Some experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test workflows
Ability to investigate failures and defects with developers
Ability to translate product requirements into test scenarios
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed
Proactive approach to learning and improving technical skills
Genuine interest in product quality and quality engineering
