About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape the next generation of Settify, an AI-backed legal technology product that helps lawyers and their clients
  • Work closely with developers to shape how the product is built, deployed and run
  • Own and manage AWS infrastructure, including networking, compute, databases and queues, using infrastructure as code
  • Manage cloud costs sensibly
  • Set up regional environments to bring Settify to new regions
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines so developers can build, test, release and roll back changes confidently
  • Set up logs, metrics, traces and alerts
  • Work with developers to troubleshoot production issues
  • Support LLM features through model access, tracing and evaluation pipelines
  • Manage permissions, secrets, encryption and backups to keep customer data secure
  • Build tools, automate repetitive tasks and write clear documentation
  • Contribute to application code where it improves development and deployment
  • Help provide visibility into production, including LLM feature performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering
  • AWS experience, including relevant services such as EC2, Lambda, SQS, RDS and DynamoDB
  • VPC networking, IAM, access controls and secrets management
  • Docker; ECS or Kubernetes, including EKS
  • CDK or Terraform
  • CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployments and rollbacks
  • Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus or CloudWatch
  • Alerts, production troubleshooting and on-call support
  • TypeScript/Node.js or Python
  • Writing tools, testing and code review
  • LLM services such as Amazon Bedrock or similar
  • API integration, rate limits, retries and timeouts
  • LLM observability and evaluation tools such as Langfuse or similar
  • Tracing, token usage, cost and latency monitoring, and evaluation pipelines
  • Experience setting up and deploying applications in new cloud regions
  • Developer tooling, including tools and scripts for local setup, testing and deployments
  • Application feature delivery; SaaS, LegalTech or early-stage team experience
  • Product observability and analytics tools such as PostHog or similar
  • Clear verbal and written communication, collaboration, practical problem-solving, curiosity and follow-through
