About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, assess, administer, and revise clinical training materials
- Review existing training materials, identify gaps, and create supplemental content
- Develop training curriculum with a full agenda
- Coordinate training for nurses and stakeholders, including assignments and scoring
- Monitor quality assurance trends regarding new hires and improve training materials
- Participate in monthly QA calibrations
- Communicate weekly with new hires before orientation to ensure internet setup and application submission
- Train users on equipment, software, and technology
- Maintain documentation guidance for medical records work
- Follow up with newly hired nurses after 90 days to review training and answer questions
- Develop Lessonly content and track nurse progress
- Identify and resolve technical and user-behavior performance issues
- Provide remedial training to struggling nurses and communicate progress to supervisors/managers
- Provide summary updates to supervisors following individual nurse assistance
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Occasionally answer calls to help clear the customer service queue
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSN required
- Unencumbered RN license required
- 2+ years of training experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in quality assurance and training programs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities
- Effective quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment while functioning as an educator rather than an auditor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
